Physiotherapy Aide

IRT Marco Polo Woonona and Marco Polo Unanderra are looking for Physiotherapy Aides who are passionate about enhancing the physical mobility and quality of life of our clients by following individual routines, reporting change and supporting the provision of physiotherapy. Reporting to the Care Manager you will deliver physiotherapy programs to meet the diverse physical needs of our residents.
We are looking for someone at each site who can work on a part time basis, 8:30-4pm with minimum 20 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement physiotherapy programs within a group settings or on a one-to-one basis as directed by a physiotherapist
- Assist and motivate in the facilitation of maintaining resident independence
- Daily preparation of treatment areas, setting up equipment and completing the associated documentation
- Assisting in the development and review of resident care plans
To be successful you will have;
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Leisure & Heath or another relevant qualification,
- Previous experience in the design and development of Physio programs (desirable)
- Previous experience or knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise your own work to meet the daily requirements of the Physio Aide
- Effective problem solving skills with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions
