The Opportunity:
The Physiotherapist role is an amazing opportunity for you to work for a not-for-profit aged care services organisation that has dedicated over 60 years to meeting the needs of the community. We provided residential as well as community-based services.
It is an exciting time to join Dale Cottages as we are about to move to a brand-new facility in Armadale (April 2024). You will contribute toward our current transformation.
This role will report directly to the General Manager Residential Care and will be an integral member of the Residential Team.
About you:

You will have at least 5 years' experience in Physiotherapy and have AHPRA registration. You will have a track record of delivering quality physiotherapy services within a highly regulated environment. You will have excellent assessment skills and planning capabilities. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge about the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and outcomes. You will have experience of and ability of supervising others, leading change, problem solving and pro-actively seeking solutions.
The Job - what you will be doing:
You will be responsible for delivering high quality Physiotherapy to consumers in accordance with physiotherapy service standards, best practice guidelines, legislation and organisational policy and procedures. You will develop, deliver and evaluate programs in response to the consumers; needs and care plans. You will lead the review of physiotherapy services actively identifying areas of opportunity.
Your responsibilities:
- Liase with the consumer to identity appropriate services
- Develop physiotherapy programs that meet requirements of funding programs
- Ensure documentation is updated that supports funding and accreditation requirements
- Ensure the aged care standards are met on a continual basis and the standards are communicated and understood by the Therapy Assistants
- Ensure systems and processes are in place that reviews and monitors therapy services
- Ensure the consumers financial budges are met and followed in regard to physiotherapy services
- Maintains professional knowledge and actively evaluates own professional practice and skills in order to drive improvements to therapy services
What success looks like:
- The residential team will have met the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative standards
- Physiotherapy services processes are adhered to according to therapy service standards, best practice, legislation and organisational policy and procedures
- Compliance requirements will have been met for all AN-ACC assessment
