DepartmentAlfred Health's Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist state-wide rehabilitation services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hypoxic brain injuries and other causes of non-progressive brain injury. The service is comprised of an inpatient rehabilitation service, a community rehabilitation service and a 4-bed transitional living service.
The ABI Community Rehabilitation Service provides long term management and support for all eligible clients with an ABI, including those funded by the NDIS, in partnership with local services. The service also focusses on the lifelong, evolving needs of people with an ABI receiving NDIS funding. Position SummaryThe Grade 2 Physiotherapist is responsible for:Providing high quality assessment and management of patients within the ABI Community Rehabilitation Service.
Providing regular clinical supervision to junior staff and AHAs to engender excellence in the Physiotherapy servicein the ABIEnhancing the overall functioning of the ABI Service by supporting quality improvement activities
Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor in Physiotheray (or equivalent). Rehabilitation experience within inpatient rehabilitation or community rehabilitation programs.
