The Physiotherapy Department is seeking applications from 1st year physiotherapy students for the role of cadet Health Practitioner. The cadet performs a range of clinical support activities and on the job skills development while engaged in formal full-time tertiary studies.

About your opportunity
Cadets are employed casually to accommodate the commitments required by their studies while gaining pre-registration exposure to the workplace.
The cadet contributes to a 7-day physiotherapy service delivery model within the Townsville University Hospital under the delegation and practice supervision of an allied health professional in the provision of effective patient care.
Skills and experience:
- Under supervision, ability to provide a defined range of patient interventions as delegated by the Physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and commitment to train in specific handling and technical skills and competencies relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team with a good understanding of own scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated skills in self-organisation and initiative to enable the timely completion of a variety of tasks allowing efficient service function.
Generous casual hourly rates of $36.97 to $43.48 per hour.
