An exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy team providing services to the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital. This is a Full time temporary role for up to 12 months.

What you'll be doing

The physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and/or outpatients as determined by the particular role (Oncology – Kids Cancer Centre). The physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context, and utilise holistic physiotherapy models of care. Participation is required in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.  
The Level 3 Physiotherapist will contribute at an advanced level to:  
•  Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services.  
•  Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care.     
• Liaison with community based services relevant to the patient population.              The Level 3 Oncology Physiotherapist will coordinate the provision of inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy for Oncology patients according to Physiotherapy Department policies, KCC and Little Big Steps Project funding. This position also  includes the responsibility the Little Big Steps Project KPI/performance quarterly reporting Close liaison with the Oncology Multidisciplinary Team including the Inpatient & Outreach services and   the Physiotherapy Department is essential.

  1. Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration

  2. Demonstrated experience in relevant clinical areas including oncology, acute rehabilitation and neurology. This experience should be applicable to the acute care, tertiary paediatric setting.

  3. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings

  4. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands and demonstrated ability in specific project reporting.

  5. Experience working in clinical teams, including prioritising workload management and providing caseload relevant supervision and training

  6. Demonstrated leadership skills in service delivery improvement activities and/or research

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
