Vanguard Laundry is a social enterprise commercial laundry based in Toowoomba, purpose built to provide jobs and career opportunities for people with a background of social disadvantage. Our program aim is to help people overcome their barriers to employment, who want to return to the workplace and contribute to their community.
About the role
As a Picker Packer / Laundry Production Worker, you will work in hybrid role reporting to the Production Supervisor, working in a fast paced production environment across a variety of duties.
To excel in this role you will need a strong work ethic, a ‘can do’ attitude and wholeheartedly believe in the work Vanguard Laundry is doing and the impact we are trying to make. You will work beside our wonderful staff and will mentor, encourage and set a positive example in your attitude and actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping staff build skills, confidence and competence in the laundry
- Mentoring and setting a positive example for our staff
- Laundry operations including sorting, processing, and quality control of linen
- Operating required laundry equipment, and assisting workflow
- Picking and packing of linen orders
- Following safe work procedures and participating in a safe and productive work environment
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- Foundational data entry skills
- Good computer literacy
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

- Flexibility to work across our operating hours (Availability from 6am to 6pm Monday to Saturday)
