A family owned, farming business with a quality assured, 500 sow piggery enterprise is looking for a stock person who is motivated and reliable to join our team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities of the position include: -
- Animal Husbandry, Record Keeping and Care of Animals
- Maintaining Feed and Water Systems
- Moving and Handling Stock
- General Maintenance of Piggery Facilities
Benefits and perks
This is a full-time position with weekend work on a roster basis. Above Award Wages will be negotiated based on experience.
The business is located close to several major towns in the Barossa Valley / Lower North area and a 1-hour drive to Adelaide.
Skills and experience
Experience:
Previous piggery / animal production employment and demonstrated track record.
Skills / Attributes:
- To be successful in this role you must enjoy working with livestock and have a very high regard for animal welfare.
- Ability to communicate and work with others.
- Physically fit and capable of manual farm work.
- Must be honest, reliable and punctual.
