Piling Labourer | Offsider & Labour

The Blade Pile Group (BPG) is one of Australia’s largest screw piling companies and has been operating around the country for over 15 years. The BPG operates in manufacturing, contracting, engineering and installation, all working together to provide our customers the best end-to-end, inhouse service possible.

BPG has established a brand new office and warehouse in Keysborough, Melbourne to expand our service into the Victoria market. We are looking for an ambitious, new full-time labourer to join this team and work directly alongside our state manager.

Our ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years experience and is looking for an opportunity to develop a career in the construction industry. You must already have a white card to be eligible for this position.

The required tasks for this role include:

• Working within our installation team on-site alongside a machine operator.
• Setting out sites for pile installations & digging.
• General labour around the warehouse and office where required.
• Assisting with preparing orders and completing basic paperwork.
• Attending site meetings and other work-related events alongside the state manager.
• Any other general tasks required by your manager.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary and help out where you can, even if it may be outside your standard work duties. 

Within this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in:

• Operating excavators and acquiring relevant qualifications.
• Driving heavy rigid (HR) trucks and acquiring your HR drivers license.
• Reading and understanding site plans and engineering documentation.
• Understanding geotechnical information and its impact on structural foundations.
• Company operations and business knowledge surrounding construction.
• Warehousing and distribution.
• Forklift operation and acquiring a license. 

Beneficial skills & experience:

• Truck license (HR or MR)
• Forklift license
• Any experience in excavators
• Any experience on construction sites
