Pipe Fitters and Special Class Welders for ongoing Naval project.• Casual ongoing role with the potential to go permanent• 9 day fortnight - day, afternoon and night shift• $55.90 per hour + penalty ratesAbout the Role WorkPac are seeking suitably experienced and motivated Pipe Fitters, Special Class Welders and/or Plumbers to join our clients team in a casual long term role, based in the Port Adelaide area.You will be a part of a high performing team as a Pipe Fitter at the Osborne Naval Facility with opportunities for personal development and growth.As an experienced Pipe Fitter, you can be from any background as long as you are reliable, safety conscious, punctual and physically fit.Duties and Responsibilities • Repairing, Installing and testing pipe systems and components• Welding of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance to supplied engineering guidelines and criteria• Demonstrate adherence to planned work schedules relating to the asset rebuild, the overhaul program and the required quality output• Participate in and contribute to a diverse workplace culture, creating an inclusive environment for a continued high performance teamSkills and Experience • Mechanical and Pipe Fitting Trade - Certificate III in Mechanical/Pipe Fitting/Special Class Welding/Boilermaking • Strong knowledge of all welding techniques including: TIG, MIG, GMAW, BW, FCAW and others.• Substantial & demonstrated skills in working within a collaborative, highly skilled work environment• Sound level of skills in oral, written and interpersonal communication• Other trade related tickets will be advantageous• Current Drivers licenceAll applicants must be an Australian citizen and will be required to pass a national police clearance & medical if accepted.About WorkPacWorkPac is Australias leading, privately owned recruitment provider to the mining, construction, engineering, light industrial and healthcare sectors.
