The Opportunity
Excellent opportunity for a Pit Technician to provide support to the Geology section of the Technical Services Department, with all aspects of the ongoing planning, production and reconciliation of the Mine, as and where required on a 8/6 roster.
- Accurate data analysis for feedback and geology data for future planning
- Crusher sampling and delivery to on-site laboratory
- Moisture and density testing
- Stockpile inspection, reconciliations and balance
- QAQC review of Laboratory assay, results and data
- Communicate and escalate any variance or deviation to plan to key stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate safe behavior at all times.
- Confident computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel and Word, and a willingness to increase your computer skills where required.
- Good organisational skills and ability to self-manage workload
- Ability to work in both a team environment, as well as confidence work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Previous exposure to mining environment beneficial, but not essential
- General interest in rocks and geology highly desirable
