About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning & Technical Superintendent to lead a professional team working on process optimisation through a range of engineering projects across the Beverley mining operation. The role will allow the opportunity to drive projects, implement strategies, support resources and operations and collaborate cross functionally with other teams to deliver positive outcomes for the business.
Key responsibilities involve:
- Planning: Developing and implementing strategies and plans to oversee production processes, resource operation and workflow efficiency.
- Technical Oversight: Providing technical guidance and expertise to the team and boarder working group, reviewing designs, resolving technical challenges and achieving business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing measures to enhance operational performance and reliability, including future operations and processes.
- Project Management: Contributing to projects related to plant upgrades, and expansion of facilities and equipment.
- Leadership: Coaching and mentoring a tea of engineers, technicians and laboratory personnel.
- Financial Management: Managing budgets and resources effectively to meet operational targets.
- Collaboration: Working in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of engineering and Technical practices to deliver business goals.
A qualified Chemical Engineer or Metallurgist with proven experience in a similar role, you will ideally have:
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of Geo Chemical Practices.
- Experience in coding, geo chemical software, AutoCAD, process design software and advanced MS Excel.
- Ability to lead a high performing team of professionals.
- A strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement.
- Appreciation for data driven decision making practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to anticipate and mitigate technical challenges.
- Experience in managing major equipment installations, commissioning, and decommissioning processes.
