About the project
Laing O'Rourke is supporting Defence's operations in the Northern Territory delivering the Larrakeyah Defence Precinct Redevelopment Program as managing contractor.
The Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a critical enabler and provides support to the sustainment of the Australian Defence Force. The base supports numerous Army, Navy and Joint units, including Headquarters Northern Command, North West Mobile Force (NORFORCE) and HMAS Coonawarra.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Planning Engineer/Planning and Project Controls Manager to join the Larrakeyah Barracks Redevelopment Project in Darwin.
This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance with process and best practice
Execute time related issues in the Contract
Develop Programmes throughout all project stages
Integrate 3D CAD models & programmes
Maintain programme and other time related material that ensure that the sequence and timing of all operations considered / optimised for the successful project completion within the required time constraints
Identification of Key Milestone, Production Outputs and Key Resource Requirements
Ensure highest standard of employees
About you
Advanced project controls and planning experience
Experience in a management role
Experience in developing relations with the entire project stakeholders
Exposure to large projects
Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Construction related discipline
Good communicator - Verbal and written
Microsoft office, Navisworks, PRISMG2 and Primavera P6
