Our Explosive Ordnance Services team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity for a Planning Manager Operations to join our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) Contracts team. This role presents a unique chance to shape operational efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a growing and dynamic field involving logistics, inventory and other supply chain solutions.
- Prioritise operational workload, monitor progress, and ensure contract adherence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, optimise cross-functional activities, and engage with stakeholders
- Directing cross-functional activities to optimise opportunities and contribute to ongoing improvement
- Engaging with Defence and industry stakeholders to meet service and contract deliverables
- Lead the development of a high-performance team Identify changes in scope of work or improved logistics and inventory management procedures
- Ensure compliance with Defence controls, legislative requirements, and internal procedures
- Mentor and coach staff for professional development
- Prepare and deliver reports, business cases and briefing papers on EO Services operations
- Intrastate and Interstate travel in support of logistic and project activities
- Diploma of Business (or higher) in Logistic Management or equivalent
- Demonstrated logistics management experience
- Demonstrated ability to author documents, activity plans and process instructions
- Experience in supervising major activity rollouts and project management principles
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
