About the role

As Council’s Plant Allocation Officer you will lead the coordination and administration of Council’s Plant Hire and plant allocation for Council’s civil construction & maintenance operations. In this role you will act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for all of Council’s Plant Hire requirements and will support strategic plant replacement and procurement processes. You will also monitor and report on Chain of Responsibility compliance for Council’s heavy vehicle fleet and prepare plant replacement tenders and quotation purchases with a focus on “value for money”. In addition to identifying and driving efficiencies and savings for Council’s plant hire management practices you will also oversee plant hire contractor management ensuring contract compliance and the preservation of accurate records in relation to the allocation of vehicle, plant, and equipment resources.


About you

To be successful in this role you will possess a relevant Certificate III Qualification supported by experience in an automotive mechanical or plant hire field working with fleet, transport, equipment, civil operations or related industries.

You will have demonstrated experience in leading the delivery and administration of fleet management plant replacement and plant hire processes and an ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage competing demands. You will further have an ability to work both independently and as a member of a team and will demonstrate a high commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a knowledge of the principles and practices of NHVR Chain of Responsibility and WHS regulatory requirements are also essential to success in this role.


Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week, with a base salary ranging $69,553 up to $77,204 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10.5% p.a. super.
