Join the international team assembling Australia’s largest nut drying and sorting facility, based in Bucca QLD. The building structure and roof are complete, as a leading hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the assembly process and ensuring the successful completion of our facility.
Job Overview
We are seeking:
- One qualified Fitter Leading Hand
- One qualified Boilermaker, Welder, Machinist or Mechanic Leading Hand
You have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This is a casual OR full-time temporary role expected to last until mid to late March 2024. There may be opportunity to work elsewhere in the organisation following the completion of this project.
You must be available to work Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the assembly process of our nut drying and sorting facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during assembly.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in plant assembly or similar roles within the manufacturing or agricultural industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate and guide the assembly team.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly according to specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them.
Key Selection Criteria
- Trade qualification as Fitter, Boilermaker, Welder, Machinist or Mechanics
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in your trade
- Minimum 1 years’ exp leading a small team
- Working At Heights ticket
- White Card
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
