Australia's largest and most-advanced recycling facility is at the BINGO Eastern Creek Recycling Ecology Park. Featuring cutting edge manufacturing technology, MPC2, the Materials Processing Centre, will be a world-leading recycling asset right here in Sydney.
The Fixed Plant Electrician is responsible for maintaining Bingo’s fixed plant electrical systems and equipment by completing inspections, preventative maintenance requirements and breakdown maintenance.
The Role:
- Located at Eastern Creek.
- Permanent full time position (38 hours per week).
- Overtime available.
- Identify faults and complete preventative maintenance inspections using CMMS.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, motors, switch gears and equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Direct and train other trades people and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.

What you bring:
- Industrial Electrical Trade Certificate or similar.
- 2-3 years’ experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance (advantageous).
- Strong experience in fault finding and diagnosing.
- Own Tools.
- Can do attitude and commitment to customer service.
- Proven history in waste industry (advantageous).
- Knowledge and experience of application of workplace health and safety.
