About the Plastics Team
Plastics Moulding department has 7 plastics injection moulding machines running 24/5 and in our high season 24/7 producing iconic Australia products like the Postura and Integra chair. We have ambitious growth targets with sustainability at our core, embarking on our circular economy journey.
About the Role
We are looking for Plastics Operator Afternoon Shift, whilst experience in plastic moulding is preferred if you are a skilled and capable machine operator whose looking for an opportunity to expand your skills we would love to hear from you.
The role is based at our Minto site, reporting to the shift supervisor. Afternoon shift is 3pm to 11.30pm Monday to Friday with weekend/overtime as required.
Key responsibilities
- Operators will observe the machine during the plastic moulding process and perform visual inspections and ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Operators may need to trim excess material and package the moulded parts.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing environment desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Follows processes and meet production schedule.
- Timely reporting of issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions.
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.
