Kialla Play Therapy is an established private practice located in Shepparton. Our small team is passionately committed to providing quality play therapy services to children and their families in our community. About You
You are passionate about supporting children and families to heal, grow and flourish, and:
- are an experienced or early career Play Therapist[1] [2] .
- have experience working with children and/or young people in a professional or therapeutic capacity.
- have a working understanding of attachment theory.
- have a high ability to work autonomously.
- enjoy being part of a supportive team with a common goal.
- highly value professional development and education.
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- can learn and use various computer software programs.
- hold or have the willingness to obtain a current National Police Check.
- hold or have the willingness to obtain a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- hold or have the willingness to obtain a current HLTAID012 First Aid/CPR Certificate. [3]
- hold an unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
Responsibilities
As a Play Therapist in our private practice, you will:
- Conduct play therapy sessions with children and families experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, relational, and psychological challenges.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
- Produce reports of therapeutic outcomes.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to provide holistic support.
- Maintain confidential client records and session notes.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development.
- Work autonomously and as part of a virtual team
- Comply with relevant codes of conduct [4]
