How you’ll make a difference
Under the direction of the Plumbing Supervisor, undertake maintenance and installation work on plumbing, roofing and irrigation services on or within the City’s buildings, facilities, parks and park facilities.
Ensure all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legislative requirements and responsibilities.
Complete work in accordance with the relevant codes and standards
Provide and deliver a high standard of service to meet customers’ expectations and the sections' service and operational standards.
Participate in the after-hours call-out roster, responding to and actioning calls in line with Community Facilities Maintenance operation standards.
Assist in the development and training of apprentices.
What you bring to your new role
You take pride in your work and have a track record of ensuring that all work is performed to meet quality, safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You are self-motivated and require limited supervision to 'get the job done right'.
You have a proven capacity to apply initiative, judgement and resources effectively to achieve organisational goals to meet deadlines and commitments.
You have a current QBCC Plumbing and Drainage Licence (Mandatory)
You have a C Class Driver’s Licence Unrestricted (Mandatory).
You are able to participate in the after-hours call out roster.
