How you’ll make a difference

Under the direction of the Plumbing Supervisor, undertake maintenance and installation work on plumbing, roofing and irrigation services on or within the City’s buildings, facilities, parks and park facilities.

• Ensure all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legislative requirements and responsibilities.

• Complete work in accordance with the relevant codes and standards

• Provide and deliver a high standard of service to meet customers’ expectations and the sections' service and operational standards.

• Participate in the after-hours call-out roster, responding to and actioning calls in line with Community Facilities Maintenance operation standards.

• Assist in the development and training of apprentices.

What you bring to your new role

• You take pride in your work and have a track record of ensuring that all work is performed to meet quality, safety, environmental and legislative requirements.

• You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• You are self-motivated and require limited supervision to 'get the job done right'.

• You have a proven capacity to apply initiative, judgement and resources effectively to achieve organisational goals to meet deadlines and commitments.

• You have a current QBCC Plumbing and Drainage Licence (Mandatory)

• You have a C Class Driver’s Licence Unrestricted (Mandatory).

• You are able to participate in the after-hours call out roster.
