- Exchange of water meters
- Complete any complex/large Meter Exchanges.
- Complete any rectification, modification or quote for works in relation to metering works.
- Provide technical advice to Meter Exchange technicians regarding metering tasks.
- Follow up regularly with Meter Exchange technicians and provide support and guidance.
- Ensure the standard of all work in the field is of a high quality and in accordance with approved work practices and standards required by the Client, the Company and service providers.
- Represent Service Stream in relation to customer complaints.
- Ensure all incidents are reported as per company procedure.
- Ensure current work practices are implemented in the field and recommend changes to ensure that any activity is performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that all tasks undertaken are performed in a manner consistent with OH & S policies and procedures of the company and the relevant state legislation.
- Co-ordinate and assist in the training & ongoing development of Meter Exchangers.
- Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client’s network & plant.
- Relevant knowledge of the Hunter Water network and the work practices required to install and exchange water meters.
- Ability to resolve day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy, and independent judgement.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure all staff are clearly instructed on procedures, policies and targets etc.
- Attention to detail with high quality and workmanship.
- Effective time management and the ability to prioritise critical issues.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Minimum 3 years plumbing experience.
- Current plumbing licence.
- Relevant Industry training.
- Current drivers licence.
- OHS Construction Industry white card.
