Job description

Plumbing Operations Manager / Plumbing Supervisor

You will be the right hand to the Director of the business and manage, plan and co-ordinate the operations of the business. You will lead and mentor our team of  plumbers to ensure jobs are completed on time and to the standard that our clients expect.

Responsibilities will include.

  • Preparing client quotes 
  • Overseeing the workflow and scheduling function for the team including planning out, forward job bookings and staff accordingly
  • Directing and supervising the team ensuring they are where they need to be, and can complete the job.
  • Ensuring teams are working to our high standards and work is completed with no defects
  • Providing backup support to the team on technical questions that may arise while onsite
  • Completing daily job reporting, updating clients, and authorising jobs for invoicing
  • Ensuring the team are achieving workflow KPIs
  • Providing exceptional communication and customer service both in emails and over the phone
  • Collaborating closely with the scheduling team
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Managing material orders, and supervising project delivery to ensure timeliness and budgets are met.

This position will also facilitate toolbox meetings, and overseeing OH&S. You will be responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the business through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

To be Successful 

  • You will have previous experience leading a team or previous operational experience.
  • Experience within a similar trade related industry with a good understanding of plumbing and laws and codes. 
  • Are technically minded and can think outside the square together with good problem-solving skills
  • Be operational and target driven.
  • You will have strong leadership and people management skills
  • Enjoy driving teamwork and collaboration.

A positive can-do attitude with the drive to resolve issues is greatly appealing. The ability to organise and execute day-to-day, weekly, and monthly priorities is essential and the ability to see that all tasks are completed in full is a must.
