Job description

Our client is a leader in their industry specialising in unrivalled solutions across all sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, hospitality and residential.
 
Due to growth we are seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to join our client's team. The position is responsible for performing installations, repairs and maintenance of various products including filters, water systems and requires troubleshooting using service manual, computerised diagnostics and general technical experience.

The role:

  • Perform repairs and installations at customer’s premises as outlined on a daily job run received the day before or at the start of each day.
  • Perform pre-install assessments as required
  • Conduct diagnostics for repairs and complete assessment for customers
  • Perform workshop repairs/assessments where required to do so as per customer service coordinators and provide requested information for quoting purposes.
  • Ensure that any customer enquiries, complaints or technical matters are satisfactorily managed, resolved and closed within agreed timelines includes providing Technical Support.
  • Occasionally contact customers to discuss their unit usage and maintenance issue
  • Ensure jobs are completed and if required follow up and further appointments arranged
  • Other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.
  • Maintain Service van stock levels and spare parts to minimize repeated visits to customers
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Maximise potential sales opportunities regarding new sales, up selling and cross selling opportunities.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • Trade Qualified Plumber (preferred)
  • Experience as a Trade Assistant or mechanical aptitude required. 
  • Experience working in a similar or service role - installation, repairs & maintenance
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Be physically fit (stamina and strength)
  • Good level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in the use of computer systems and web-based technologies
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work autonomously or in a team
  • A highly motivated self-starter
