Our client is seeking a PMO Administrator for the Security PMO within the Security Portfolio Section (SCP). The PMO administrator will offer administrative and secretarial support for PMO functions across the portfolio and will report to the Security PMO Assistant Director.
Location: Barton, ACT
Pay rate: $55-61 + super
Contract Duration: July 2024 - July 2025, potential to extend.
Work type: Full time - flexible work arrangements will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and taking minutes for PMO meetings and governance forums.
- Supporting the PMO secretariat in developing and managing governance papers and agendas.
- Keeping records, handling project documentation, and entering data for PMO reports.
- Communicating with the office, projects, and stakeholders regarding information requests, schedule updates, and reports.
- Supporting senior staff and managing competing priorities to meet team goals and objectives.
- Preparing project-related documents for stakeholders, including status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers.
- Coordinating information flow between the PMO and stakeholders and managing PMO mailboxes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Must have a NV1 and ability to get an NV2.
- Australian Citizenship.
- 2 years of project or PMO experience.
- Understanding of project management principles (planning, monitoring, evaluation, assurance).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to learn new digital skills and optimize existing software.
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude with attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a small team, using initiative and managing competing priorities.
