Policy And Governance Officer

The role:

Menzies is looking for a Policy and Governance Officer to lead activities and provide senior level advice and support to the organisation on its policy, risk and Governance requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to develop the approach and framework for Menzies corporate policy to ensure strategic goals of the organisation are achieved. They will also be required to:-

• Lead and manage all aspects of corporate policy, including conceptualisation, research, consultation, drafting, amending and/or revising and communication of Menzies’ corporate policy suite.
• Provide effective senior level support to policy owners including implementation, assisting with policy related procedural documents and requirements, and monitoring of compliance.
• Manage Menzies Governance Document Library, webpage and intranet content.
• Facilitate staff training in policy development, privacy and confidentiality.

About you:

As a motivated individual, you will come with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to a range of audiences including people from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.

You also have:

• A relevant postgraduate qualification; or extensive relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
• Demonstrated ability to research and gather information resourcefully and use advanced analytical skills to identify and develop innovative approaches and strategies to complex problems in a changing environment.
• Proven project management skills, including demonstrated experience writing briefing papers and reports as well as preparing presentation materials.
• Evident understanding of data governance principles, including those relating to data ownership, privacy, storage and transfer.
• Experience in facilitating staff training in policy development, privacy and confidentiality.

The Benefits:

• Attractive salary package $137,090 to $148,386 including super and salary packaging benefits (base salary $110,478 to $120,319)
• Option to increase employer superannuation contribution to 14%
• Significant salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum
• 6 weeks annual leave
