About the RoleWorking within the culture and ethos of the school, the
Pool Assistant will work actively as part of the PDHPE (Senior School) and PE (Primary School) Department to deliver the swimming programs. This role will work closely with students from K – 12 to ensure their safety and confidence in the pool and assist the teachers with smooth delivery of lessons.
About YouYou are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals
- Sound interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Well-developed organisational skills that will assist in the teaching of effective learning behaviours to students
- The ability to support students and teachers in PDHPE
- The ability to assist with the general health and well-being of students
- The ability to support the day-to-day activities of the Pool and be responsible for the poolside patrol, water safety and first aid.
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- Hold or willingness to obtain a Bronze Medallion
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
