As the Portfolio Manager, Enhanced Fixed Income and Equities, you will lead, develop and evolve externally managed investment strategies across multiple asset classes, aiming to achieve the target risk and return profile for the allocated funds within investment parameters. You will drive oversight, engagement, assessment and decision-making processes for externally managed funds across asset classes including High Yield Debt, Emerging Market Debt, Private Credit and Equities.
Your new role
Working closely with the Global Head of Externally Managed Funds and the Senior Portfolio Manager, Enhanced Fixed Income & Equities, you will;
- Develop portfolio strategies based on the analysis of market dynamics and manage strategies and provide ongoing management of allocations in accordance with investment objectives and guidelines for all nominated portfolios
- Provide oversight, engagement and assessment of external managers and portfolio positioning
- Support impact investment targets and origination through sourcing, due diligence and oversight activities for impact investments supporting the Premiums4Good program
- Collaborate with Business Operations and other enabling functions to operationalise external manager decisions
- Build and maintain highly effective relationships within the Externally Managed Funds team and across Group Investments
To be successful as a Portfolio Manager, Enhanced Fixed Income and Equities, you will have;
- Strong understanding of portfolio management theory and practical application, investment styles, investment processes, investment mandates and investment vehicle structures as it relates to Enhanced Fixed Income and Equities
- Solid combination of High Yield Debt, Emerging Market Debt, Private Credit and/or Equity investment experience
- Effective problem solving, decision-making, & negotiation skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance or Business related discipline, with Post graduate finance qualifications highly regarded
