Full-time, fixed term until 31 March 2028 at CamperdownJoin us early in your postdoctoral career and contribute to the fight against cervical cancer as part of an innovative and impactful teamBase Salary $105,350 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Daffodil Centre is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in epidemiology and implementation science to contribute to the Elimination Partnership in the Indo-Pacific for Cervical Cancer (EPICC) program.As a Postdoc Research Associate, you will focus on conducting epidemiological research and implementing evidence-based strategies to support the three-pillar integrated approach for cervical cancer elimination, including HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment. Your work will contribute to improving health outcomes, reducing cancer incidence, and promoting equity in the Indo-Pacific region.Your key responsibilities will be to:Conduct epidemiological studies and analyses to understand cervical cancer trends, risk factors, and impact on communities in the Indo-Pacific regionevaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment programs in reducing cervical cancer burdencollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement implementation science studies to identify barriers and facilitators to program implementation and scale-uptranslate research findings into actionable recommendations and contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and interventions for cervical cancer controldisseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, and engagement with stakeholders and policymakersAbout youPhD in epidemiology, public health, implementation science, or related field.strong background in epidemiological research methods, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.experience with implementation science approaches, program evaluation, and health systems research is desirable.knowledge of cervical cancer epidemiology, prevention strategies, and healthcare systems in the Indo-Pacific region is a plus.excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, and a passion for improving public health outcomes.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
