The purpose of this position is to safely perform and assist in building maintenance and event operations for the Poultry & Pigeon section of the 2024 Royal Easter Show.
The Sydney Royal Easter Show is the largest annual ticketed event staged in the Southern Hemisphere and we are currently looking for Poultry & Pigeon Pavilion Labourers to join the team for a short period of time.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of duties including, but not limited to:
- Attend to daily needs of Poultry & Pigeon exhibits, following a provided schedule, which includes feeding, watering, cleaning and ensuring their security
- Assist with pavilion set-up
- Provide assistance to the RAS Poultry Committee and Officials when required
- Offer support to the Stage Manager as needed
- Assist with the penning and un-penning of exhibits
- Perform pack-down and clean-out of the Poultry Pavilion
- Aid in crowd management and patron liason
- Other duties as may reasonably be given
This role is a short-term casual role commencing in March 2024 to April 2024, and will require you to work the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show period (22 March to 2 April 2024).
The hours for this role will be as rostered, with a significant level of flexibility required during the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Weekend work is essential for this role and additional hours may be necessary based on demand.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Poultry Handling
- Sound Poultry knowledge
- Forklift License (desirable)
Experience
- Experience in event building set-up
- Experience working with Poultry
- Prior Sydney Royal Easter Show experience (desirable)
