What’s in your toolkit …
The must haves:
- Experienced in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX
- Experience with using MS SQL for extracting and manipulating data.
- Strong SQL development skills welcomed
- Previous work experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role handling data from an ERP system.
- Thorough understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling techniques.
- Enjoy challenges and problem-solving with your advanced analytical skills
- Results focussed with a strong “can do” attitude
- Meticulous attention to detail with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
These would be great:
- Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Business / Commercial experience and understanding
- Experience in the Mining/Mining Services/Engineering industries
- Excellent personal, written and communication skills
- Proven experience documenting developments and related procedures.
- Professional, confident, and enthusiastic approach to your work
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and maintain new and existing Power BI reporting solutions, ensuring their accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Create plug-and-play Power BI report offerings for the various software modules we offer.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve our reporting systems and actively contribute to the growth and development of business opportunities
- Participate in the internal software development process when relevant, providing valuable insights and contributing to the overall improvement of the product.
- SQL development with the opportunity to further develop skills in this area
- Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in the Power BI space and leverage them effectively to enhance product offerings and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to the wider product development process, including data validation, cleaning, SQL-based transformations, and the creation of stored procedures, functions, and views to support various business reporting needs.
- Work closely with clients to identify their specific needs and develop best practice outcomes using Power BI.
- Provide Support and training for both clients and internal consultants
