Hours:              15 - 20 Weekly

What are we looking for?

Here at PowerPlay we are looking for a PowerPlay Track Manager, Venue Manager and Casuals - individuals who thrive in a small team and adopt the PowerPlay culture of going above and beyond. Some of the qualities we are looking for are:

  • A FUN positive attitude – the world’s a brighter place when you smile.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, electrifying positivity – the three E’s.
  • Great communication –clear, confident, and concise – the three C’s.
  • Proven experience in retail or hospitality roles and a love for interacting with a range of customers - kids, teens and adults, everyone seems to love PowerPlay no matter their age.
  • Some decent computer skills and technical know-how, we’ve got some cool booking and race software. We are a team, so if it isn't in your toolkit, we will figure it out.
  • First Aid Level 2 is ideal, some people play hard. We can point you in the right direction if you don’t have it, it’s easy to get.
  • An ability to work hours where the fun really happens, nights and weekends.
  • A desire to succeed and have FUN at the same time.
  • Greeting our customers with a killer smile.
  • The ability to help make each shift awesome by going above and beyond to ensure our guests have an amazing experience.

What is the Casual Team Lead Role?

Hours: 15 - 20

As a casual Team Lead your main role is to lead from the front and make sure every shift is awesome. Ultimately, it’s as simple as making sure customer are greeted with a smile when they walk through the doors and leave with an even bigger smile. Tasks include, but are not limited to: 

  • Greeting our customers with a killer smile.
  • Helping each customer with the check-in process.
  • Use of our Point-of-Sale system.
  • Taking bookings in person, over the phone and managing the online booking system – we’re popular so it’s often quite hectic.
  • Generally answering customer’s questions and queries.  Basically, being a walking PowerPlay encyclopedia – the website has all our information so it’s not that hard.
  • Making decisions on the run that maintain a FUN environment for all of our customers and the PowerPlay TEAM.
  • Helping to make each shift awesome by going above and beyond to ensure our guests have an amazing experience.
  • Ensuring our venue operation and activities are always presented at their best. A bit of cleaning in the downtime keeps things nice and shiny.

What is the Casual Track Lead Role?

Hours: 15 - 20

A Track Lead's main role is to ensure SAFETY is maintained at all times and that all customers are having FUN. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • The Driver Zone, Pit Area and Racetrack are your domain and it is your job to support the other track team members in keeping the races running. Making sure everyone is following the rules to keep everyone safe and smiling – it’s about FUN, FAIR and SAFE racing. 
  • Confidently being able to use your voice to guide customers. Generally answering customer’s questions and queries. – “how do I go faster?“ will be a question you’ll become good at answering. 
  • Offering advice, a bit of coaching and direction to help our customers reach their potential. Watch the smiles increase as they lower their lap times. 
  • Simple tasks such as helping people to put helmets on and getting them safely strapped in are two basic tasks that require the utmost attention to detail. 
  • Ensuring our venue operation and activities are always presented at their best. A bit of cleaning in the downtime keeps things nice and shiny
