We are currently seeking expression of interest applications for our Practice Leader role.

About the Role

The Practice Leader is the principal practice lead for Casa’s Service Delivery to NDIS participants (Casa clients). As such, at least 60% of your time will be spent at the service-delivery frontline working alongside the Service Delivery team to improve and optimise performance, and therefore, drive improved client outcomes.

The Practice Leader provides direct supervision and supports, coaches and mentors the client-facing disability support team within Casa to:

  • Enhance and achieve client outcomes as per their NDIS plan;
  • Enhance and embed professional practice for Casa’s disability support workforce to support good practice within a NDIS support setting, and
  • Instantiate quality and reduce risk in all supports delivered to clients by reinforcing quality management systems.
  • Exercise autonomy in decision-making and the ability to operate independently within the guidelines of the organization.
  • Support the Client Services Manager to shape and drive our Service Delivery response for community by coaching and supporting disability support staff to deliver good practice, innovation and creativity which relates to Casa’s vision and values.

How can I tell if this is for me?

Its definitely for you, if you have the following essential qualifications, licenses and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Health, Business, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
  • 4 years or more experience in an operational leadership role with responsibility for quality, risk, financial and people outcomes in the social/human services sector.
  • Deep knowledge about the NDIS gained from a minimum of 3
  • years or more experience in an operational leadership role including the implementation of Supported Independent Living, Community Access/Participation, Support Coordination, the NDIS Price Guide and responses/reporting to NDIS Quality & Safeguards provisions.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise relevant to service provision within NDIS environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial transparency and accountability.
  • Proven ability to understand, maintain and report against budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, support, and advice on complex client needs, Service Delivery issues and critical incident response.
  • Sound knowledge of the concepts and principles of quality management and evidence-based health services.
  • Oral and written communication skills of a high order to deal with external stakeholders, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for internal stakeholders.
  • Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
  • Evidence of the right to work In Australia

  • A sound understanding and appreciation of the vulnerabilities and experiences of people with disability who access services.
  • A sound understanding and experience in implementing supported decision-making for people with disability is highly regarded.
  • An understanding of Central Australia and/or the Northern Territory, and a connection with communities.
  • Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse staff and clients.
