The Role
The role is for a Experienced Commercial & packaging Prepress Operator.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our supportive team in a prepress role. The position works with the latest in pre-press workflow software and hardware and supported by an excellent team in great working conditions. The role is full time and will be across commercial print (Digital & Offset) & Packaging.
The role responsibilities include:
- Reading & Understanding work tickets
- Liasing of projects with Clients (internal & external).
- Pre-flighting/ Art file corrections etc.
- Impositions for offset & digital machines.
- Colour Management & Proofing
- Plate Room & consumables.
- We are looking for a very capable, proficient prepress/digital operator, who is skilled in; Workflow Imposition software Adobe Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc). This is not a graphic design role (but graphic skills are still very favourable).
Skills & Expectations
- Highly experienced in Prepress & Imposition software for digital & offset printing.
- Trained on ECO3 / Apogee if not already.
- Preflight and corrective software experience - Pitstop & similar highly favourable, but not a requirement.
- Overall solid knowledge of Print workflow software
- Excellent attention to detail, good eye for mistakes or faults.
- Work well under pressure with limited supervision.
- This role requires good communication skills, self-organisation, multitask skills and being able to work to tight deadlines.
