AddressMaitland Community Preschool has an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The position is a permanent part time teaching role, Thursday and Fridays (16 hours per week, 8.10am - 4.10pm).
About our Preschool
Our Preschool is located on the Wonnarua Country in Maitland NSW. The Preschool was established in 1948 and takes pride in its relationships with children, families and the local community. Our service operates 8.30am - 4.00pm during the NSW school terms. There are 2 groups of 20 children each day, the Koala group and Kangaroo group, who spend shared time in the indoor and outdoor environments.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications and references:
- An ACECQA recognised degree qualification
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Training - HLTAID012
- Child Protection - CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025
- Two professional referees
Experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Leaning Framework and the National Quality Standard
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and documentating children's learning
Capabilities
- Ability to relate effectively to children and their families
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Developed communication and inter-personal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning
The desirable applicant will additionally have:
- Experience with OWNA software
- 2 years experience as an Early Childhood Teacher
