Ascent Structural & Architectural Steel is a medium sized structural steel fabrication company looking for multiple experienced and motivated Pressure Welders to join our friendly and hardworking team located in our factory in High Wycombe WA.
Position Required:
Must have experienced in Structural Steel Fabrication & Pressure Welding and have worked in a structural steel fabrication workshop environment with at least 2 years prior experience.
Tasks would include the assembly and fabrication of structural steel for commercial developments, ranging in size and complexity with stringent quality details and short time frames.
Experience and Skills:
- Must be able to read and interpret workshop drawings.
- Must be able to work as a team and or individually as required.
- 'C' Class Drivers License- (preferred)
- Tradesman Boilermaker: Certificate III Engineering- Fabrication (preferred)
- 2 years+ experience (Essential)
- Proven fabrication/MIG welding experience working with structural steel and hold relevant trade certificates.
- Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane- Certificate (preferred)
- Must be available for shift work and overtime if required
- Self-starter, reliable, friendly and have a positive attitude.
- Fabrication and assembly of structural steel in compliance with the workshop drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Be able to read and interpret shop drawings and weld procedures.
- Undertake fabrication and welding tasks in compliance with the issued ITP’s, WPS, WATR & MDR quality documents.
- Ensure fabrication and welding takes are undertaken in accordance with the QMS & ISO9001 requirements.
- Undertaking tasks in compliance with the company polices, practices and safety regulations.
