This continuing teaching role includes a three-year initial appointment as PLL, with a subsequent three-year renewal upon successful review. The position, currently released five days a week, includes a 3-unit PLL allowance. As a key figure, you will strengthen teacher capacity through exemplary teaching, mentoring, professional development, and collaboration. Your commitment to enhancing educational outcomes and school improvement aligns with system-wide strategies.In this role you will be expected to:
  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
  • Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
  • Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching
  • Support teachers in monitoring each student’s progress using data
  • Provide feedback and support to Teachers with classroom pedagogy and planning
  • Lead and coordinate curriculum implementation and development of pedagogy and assessment skills
  • Ensure effective teaching and improved achievement across all curriculum areas
  • Work with teachers to provide challenging and targeted learning opportunities for our high-potential learners.
About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Primary Learning Leader as well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
