Primary Performing Arts Teacher

Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
Light, Camera, Action! Calling all Primary Performing Arts teachers!A rewarding opportunity awaits a committed Performing Arts Primary teacher to join a terrific Primary School community in Tarneit, nestled in Melbourne's West. This full-time, permanent position is available immediately, welcoming both fresh graduates and seasoned educators alike to provide hands on and engaging Performing Arts lessons to students, within a small PA team.Key Duties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Performing Arts curriculum aligned with the Australian Curriculum standards.
• Design lesson plans that incorporate a variety of Performing Arts disciplines, including music, drama, and dance.
• Teach students the fundamentals of Performing Arts, including theory, techniques, and practical skills.
• Assess student performance through observations, assignments, and practical exams and provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and understanding.
• Organise and direct school performances, concerts, and drama productions and collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Performing Arts into school events and programs.
• Maintain and organize Performing Arts resources, including instruments, costumes, and props and manage the budget for the Performing Arts program and make recommendations for resource acquisition.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary and or Performing Arts, advantageous
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
