Senior Media Advisor
The Role
This role is critical for the promotion and protection of our business' interests through active media engagement. It will require a capacity to develop and deliver media strategies; work collaboratively with the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning; cultivate positive relationships with industry groups and media outlets; and manage our reactive and proactive media requirements.
- Managing a full range of day-to-day media issues, in addition to crisis situations
- Designing and delivering proactive, positive public relations to meet business requirements
- Cultivating strong working relationships with journalists and commentators in order to identify and place public relations material
- Advising executive team members regarding participation in media and industry events
- Producing well-written materials that effectively communicate key strategic messages
About you
To succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or experience in communications or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Capacity to build relationships of trust and cooperation
- Clear and strategic thinking
- Planning, project management and reporting
- Proofreading
- Good judgment
- Positive, proactive, self-starter approach
