An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary full-time Principal Advisor - Inclusion to join our Student Services team in Far North Region.

Your Opportunity
As the Principal Advisor, Restrictive Practice Standards you will:
- Support schools to implement the Department of Education's Inclusive education policy through, identifying barriers to inclusion, exploring evidence-based strategies and designing change processes.
- Deliver professional learning to support schools to build inclusive education knowledge and capability.
- Provide high level advice and support to senior officers within the department on policy, research and strategy relating to inclusive education.
The Principal Advisor, Inclusion reports to the Director Student Services
Your Role
- Support school leadership teams and provide guidance in understanding and implementing departmental policy information to facilitate high quality inclusive practices.
- Build skills and knowledge of school leadership teams in accordance with the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
- Coach schools in the delivery of evidence-based strategies and approaches to build more inclusive school learning environments.
- Use and model principles of inquiry, change leadership and adult learning throughout the work.
- Work collaboratively with regional offices to shape strategic thinking to promote and support delivery of inclusive practices in schools.
- Use, model and build regional team capability in effective and productive work practices in relation to inclusive leadership.
- Establish regional data collection, analyse data and provide reports for the Director on inclusive practices in schools.
- Participate in a network of Principal Advisor Inclusion and support the sharing of practices, specific training programs, resources, problem solving and advice.
