To support our expanding portfolio, we have a newly created temporary position to fill. The Principal Communication and Community EducationLegal Officer will utilise a broad skillset of Communication and stakeholder engagement to raise awareness about the full range of services offered by Legal Aid Queensland. This job is ideally suited to a person with skills in communications, publication and resource development, stakeholder engagement and/or community legal education.
About the team
Communication and Community Legal Education (CLE) team manages corporate Communication and access to external and internal information for Legal Aid Queensland. The team also coordinates our CLE program, which aims to improve the community's understanding of the law and how to access legal help services through webinars, information sessions and participation in community events, and providing access to printed and online legal information materials and digital resources.

If you are passionate about delivering Community Education and have skills in communications, publication and resource development, stakeholder engagement and/or community legal education, this is the job for you.
In this role you will
- Develop and implement a communication strategy for Legal Aid Queensland's partner law firms (called preferred suppliers) covering internal and external communication, media and promotion, and Community legal education and engagement
- Identify communication opportunities including producing content for mainstream and social media, EDM, newsletters
- Develop promotional and information materials like brochures, videos, animations and other digital content
- Work with content experts and graphic designer/s to produce creative and accessible resources (eg videos, animations, podcasts)
- Represent LAQ at stakeholder events to raise awareness about our partner opportunities, services and resources, and engage with priority audiences.
