Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with new and current Mapien clients, providing pragmatic advice and delivering tailored people solutions to solve sensitive and complex workplace issues.
- Business Development: Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing service delivery proposals, and securing new clients. Expand Mapien’s presence in the market through thought leadership and networking opportunities.
- Industrial Relations Expertise: Navigate industrial relations complexities which may include Fair Work Commission (FWC) representation, enterprise bargaining, workplace agreements, dispute resolution, and industrial action management.
- Employee Relations Management: Manage performance management, disciplinary action, workplace investigations, grievances, and terminations, ensuring compliance with relevant workplace legislation, industrial instruments and best practice.
- Legislative Compliance: Apply and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Australian workplace legislative and regulatory framework, including but not limited to the Fair Work Act 2009, Work Health and Safety legislation, State and Federal anti-discrimination legislation etc.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within Mapien’s diverse and multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in managing people matters within contemporary workplace settings.
- In-depth understanding of workplace legislation and the industrial landscape.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong consulting relationships with clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in providing timely and practical Employee Relations advice to key stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications in Employment Law, Industrial/Employee Relations, and/or Human Resources (relevant experience considered).
- Ability to work collaboratively within Mapien’s diverse and multi-disciplinary team.
Skills and Qualities:
- Consulting and Business Development Experience: Experience in a Consulting type environment is highly favoured, especially if paired with proven experience in client engagement and business development.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess and address workplace issues effectively.
