The Opportunity
To support our ongoing growth, BGER is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Newcastle based team. We have an extensive and continually growing client base and a number of exciting upcoming projects and are in demand for additional resources.
About You
Our Ideal candidate is an ambitious and technically minded degree qualified Principal Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with 12+ years’ experience as an engineer in the Mining and Industrial sectors, specifically across power distribution, PLC/SCADA control and communication and electrical instrumentation control. We are looking for an effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results.
- Proven experience in leading design engineering teams
- Confident in undertaking Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls design tasks from concept through to commissioning
- Competent in checking designs completed by others
- Experienced in developing and improving EIC design tools for use across the team
- Capable of producing design guides and technical notes allowing team members to leverage off your expertise
- Willing to assist with construction and commissioning including occasional site-based work as required
- Managing projects including drafters and engineers of other disciplines
- Experience with developing discipline-based growth plans and recruit team member in line with the plan
- Strong industry networks with the ability to generate new leads and work opportunities
- Proven experience in identifying new work opportunities and preparing proposals
