If so, I have a new exciting opportunity for a Principal ElectronicsDesign Engineer – Analogue/Digital to join an Automotive company designing cutting-edge electronic products. As a Principal ElectronicsDesign Engineer, your role will be varied, providing technical leadership to a team of 8 Electronic Design Engineers as well as taking on the very complex elements of Electronic Design projects. So, you need to have leadership skills and experience and have remained technically hands-on. Responsibilities of the Principal ElectronicsDesign Engineer – Analogue/Digital will include: Lead the design and development of electronics systems, including control and embedded systems, ensuring they meet project specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements. Take charge of engineering projects from concept through to production, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and design reports, ensuring the documentation is comprehensive, accurate and organised. Oversee the creation of prototypes, evaluating the performance, reliability and safety requirements are met. Define the strategy of the electronics team, including onboarding of new hires, defining objectives, identifying skills gaps and appropriate training.   Key Requirements of the Principal ElectronicsDesign Engineer – Analogue/Digital will include: At least 8 years of experience in a Senior Engineering role, with a track record of successfully leading projects. Broad technical skill set covering most aspects of Analogue and digital Electronic Design. Experience in full product development lifecycle, ideally from the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of legislative requirements, high-speed design, analogue, power electronics and EMC. Beneficial Requirements for the Principal ElectronicsDesign Engineer – Analogue/Digital will include: Electrical design / Electrical systems knowledge Good knowledge of Power Electronics Experience in the Automotive sector or other highly regulated industries. Experience of working to functional safety IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.
