About your opportunity
Fixed term temporary full-time and part-time (05/02/2024 for up to 2 years), L4-L9.
The role Registrar / Principal House Officer (PHO) involves provision of emergency and inpatient medical services under the supervision of the Senior Medical Officer (SMO): in-patient (acute and long-stay), outpatient and emergency. TeleHealth Services reduce the need for patient travel. The local multi-disciplinary team is supplemented by visiting specialist medical, dental, nursing, and allied Health Services from Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), Non-Government Organisations and Private Providers. The role will also involve supervision and teaching for junior medical staff and medical students.
Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $205,075 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range of $4822.20 to $5591.00 p.f.(full-time) or $63.45-73.56 p.h (part-time) (L4 - L9)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Requirements
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
- Currently enrolled with the Australian General Practice Training Program, or the intention to apply to the programme within 12 months of commencement to the role.
- The role will participate in the On-Call Roster
- The successful applicant will be required to possess a C Class motor vehicle licence
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
