Principal HVAC Engineer

Ventia is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer / Specialist to join our dynamic team in the heart of the Parramatta CBD. The successful candidate will provide technical support and own the asset strategy for all HVAC assets across the Defence estate.This position offers $130,000 - $145,000 TFR, working Monday through Friday. We provide a hybrid work model, a weekly combination of home and office days!To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen willing to undergo a police check.What can we offer you?

Primary responsibilities:

• Review and authorise standard maintenance instructions, technical procedures, work instructions, job analysis, risk assessments and work schedules.
• Performance measurement, compliance and reporting for the HVAC engineering and technical components of Asset Management
• Responsible for advice to support equipment performance review and upgrade.
• Submission of business cases for equipment amendments
• Comply with our Risk Management, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations.
• Fulfil expectations as defined within the SHEQ Accountabilities and Responsibilities document.
• Consistently deliver excellent Risk and SHEQ results, inspiring confidence.

• Act as a role model for a positive SHEQ culture in the workplace and encourage employees, managers, and team leaders in their businesses to do the same.

Could you be our next HVAC Engineer?

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• A bachelor's degree or graduate diploma in engineering is desirable.
• An extensive technical understanding of HVAC systems is required.
• A certificate or technical understanding of fire protection is highly regarded.
• Tertiary Education related to HVAC is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated management and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a team member.
• Demonstrated written technical communication and IT skills.
• Experience using SAP desirable.
• An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
