Principal (Level 10) - Tagai State College

The Opportunity
Tagai State College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced school leader to step into the role of Principal.
To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Lead a professional and committed team to deliver strong educational and wellbeing outcomes for students at all of Tagai State College campuses.

• Demonstrate strategic and empathetic leadership in a complex and challenging setting and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of remote education.
• Lead the capability development of the Heads of Campus to ensure focus on teaching and learning.
• Value the opportunity to nurture and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with students, staff, families and across the Torres Strait community.
• Develop and nurture ongoing partnerships with external agencies that support students, teachers and the community.

The School
Tagai State College is located within the Department's Far North Queensland education region and is comprised of 17 campuses located throughout the 48,000 square kilometres of the Torres Strait Islands.

The College is committed to providing high quality Kindergarten, school education and vocational education and training to the communities of the Torres Strait Nation. The holistic programs and services are designed to respond to the academic, social, emotional, cultural and physical needs of every child.
