Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday, with occasional site travel to connect with your key stakeholders
An opportunity has arisen for a Principal - People and Culture, who will lead a small team of People Advisors to provide end to end employee lifecycle guidance, coaching, development and support to a large portfolio in our Metals business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with leadership teams to ensure the effective implementation and management of Fortescue People policies, practices, procedures that provide an optimal working environment and promote Fortescue's culture and values.
  • Provide high level coaching and mentoring to leaders and our workforce.
  • Embedding and facilitation of all aspects of the employee lifecycle and annual cycle activities.
  • Provide insights to people metrics within your portfolio
  • Support leaders with organisational reviews as required.
  • Initiate, manage and contribute to major Fortescue People reports, projects, committees, reviews and/or continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and facilitate leadership development training as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, employee relations or a related field
  • Demonstrated work experience in a similar role including working with senior managers, and leadership and development of HR professionals
  • Communication, problem solving, and relationship building will all be critical to your success in this role, as will your skills in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders to influence outcomes
  • Experience with case management and disciplinary processes essential
  • SuccessFactors experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
