Have a meaningful impact as a Principal, Planning & Alignment

 

 

YOUR ROLE   

 

As a Principal, Planning & Alignment you will own and run planning, performance, and engagement activity across IAG’s T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering function. You will lead the development of T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering business plan, including the design and implementation of initiatives to improve performance of the function, creating commercial benefit to IAG via procurement, partnering, asset management and cost optimisation outcomes.  

 

You will build and leverage internal and external relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering management, to achieve high performance and achievement for the function. 

 

Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be: - 

 

  • Lead and facilitate teams planning activity, running townhalls and lead the development of initiatives required to drive the effectiveness of the T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering function. 

  • Identifying project goals and scope and remapping for the teams 

  • Planning and documenting project tasks 

  • Ensuring deliverables are delivered on-time. 

  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders 

  • Eliminating blockers and potential risks 

  • Documenting process using various project management tools. 

  • Establish and manage the operating rhythm of the T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering function, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, accountabilities are clear, and processes and routines work together to support the delivery of T&O Enterprise Environment & Release Engineering business plan. 

  • Project manage initiatives to ensure there is appropriate momentum, alignment and resourcing to solve problems and deliver on priority outcomes. 

 

 

ABOUT YOU  

​  

We are looking for the right person, with a good attitude who will be a solid team fit with the following skills and experiences: - 

 

  • Proven extensive experience of working in Business planning or similar role 

  • Proven track record in building strong working relationships with stakeholders, coupled with strong influencing skills.  

  • Strong consulting and problem-solving skillset with excellent communication and engagement skills. 

  • Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to design and run effective planning workshops aligning diverse sets of stakeholders. 

  • The ability to interact with the teams on how to plan, coordinate and follow through on projects. 

  • Tech background is preferred but not essential 

  • Experience using JIRA, Miro or other project planning tools highly regarded.  

  • Demonstrated experience operating and delivering high performance results in a fast-paced team environment, leveraging relationships to influence and drive outcomes. 

  • The capability to work collaboratively and effectively across functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment  

  • Experience building and driving highly effective change and engagement plans. 

  • Procurement experience preferred but not mandatory. 

  • Tertiary qualifications, e.g. Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Technology, Business, Operations, Accounting, Finance. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills  

 

This is a full time, permanent role that is open to people based in Sydney.  

  

This role offers flexible working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.
