Form of work Senior / Principal Level Project Procurement - Urgent Requirement
We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Procurement Specialist with Project experience to join this Top Tier Global Mining company to assist them for a period of around 6 months initially.
Responsibilities:
Lead the process of procuring services and materials, managing the stages of prequalification, bidding, evaluating, contracting, and awarding the contract.
Preparation and collation of information and documents is required for end-to-end sourcing activities.
Working with stakeholders to identify and measure possible contract risks, identify, and implement suitable mitigation.
Lead and facilitate proposal/tender evaluations.
Prepare internal and external stakeholders contract approval documentation, and complete activities required to facilitate internal and external approvals.
Ensure effective contract management after award - including setting up the contract, maintaining good relationships, resolving invoicing and systems queries, disputes resolution, evaluating contractor performance, contract amendments, contract value reviews/changes, claims etc.
Review price adjustment requests from suppliers and compare them with contract terms and market conditions to achieve the best value for money outcome.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5 years of recent end-to-end contracts & procurement experience.
Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
Demonstrated skills in work planning, prioritisation, and management.
Demonstrated commercial ability, including understanding value for money and risk management.
Experience of assessing and managing contract variations, including scope changes and price adjustments.
This is a hybrid role based in Perth CBD with WFH 2-3 days a week. Depending on your level of experience, it will pay up to $1400 per day. It is essential that you can start within 1-2 weeks' notice and have working rights.
