About Us
Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) provides quality infrastructure services to the department. ISD is a highly motivated, energetic and results orientated team focused on delivering flexible, innovative and responsive infrastructure solutions. ISD consists of the following organisational units:
- Office of the Assistant Director-General.
- Infrastructure Operations.
- Infrastructure Planning and Delivery.
- Direction Setting.
The New Schools Delivery provides leadership, governance, program and project management, close collaborative working, and extensive and comprehensive engagement with stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver a future ready school network for the inner city of Brisbane.
Your Role
As the Principal Project Coordinator you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of project and program delivery including initial planning, construction and commissioning of multiple complex new schools projects ranging in value over $30 million within a legislative and contractual framework.
- Lead and report against key sub-programs and significant projects within the Department's Investment Program.
- Develop, maintain and monitor critical relationships with clients, stakeholders and service providers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Prepare coherent and politically sensitive reports, correspondence and submissions to key stakeholders and clients.
- Provide advice and guidance to other staff including administration and financial teams.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Proven ability to contribute to the realisation of organisational goals through high level leadership in collaboration with others to meet clients' needs and achieve corporate objectives.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large end to end government infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary concepts, strategies and issues associated with physical asset management, and the application of this knowledge, to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients.
- Demonstrated ability to participate and motivate staff to engage in organisational change activities in order to work towards future objectives and achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level personal skills in the areas of facilities and assets to achieve agreed and productive outcomes.
- Demonstrated effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to represent the department and to establish and maintain mutually productive partnerships with clients, team members and other stakeholders.
