What can you expect?
As a Senior Investment Consultant, you will lead the design and delivery of strategic investment research, asset class manager research and performance analysis. You will manage client relationships and be a conduit between clients and client teams working on larger client teams. You’ll play a key role in business development activities and take a lead on developing IP for us to take to market. There is also the opportunity to take on people manager responsibilities if that’s of interest.
We work flexibly across professional practice areas and client segments (Super Funds, Endowments & Foundations, Insurers and Wealth Managers), giving you the opportunity to create your own career pathway based on interests and skills. There’s also various opportunities to contribute key strategic initiatives.
Exciting and challenging activities you will be exposed to:
- Getting a deep understanding of clients’ needs and working closely with local and global experts to bring the best of Mercer to each client interaction
- Developing investment theories and present to local and global clients
- Working with dedicated asset class specialists and researchers across all asset classes, including private and unlisted markets, to find the best solutions for clients
- Collaborating closely with a market leading, dedicated sustainable investment team to assist development of ESG policies and investment solutions
- Being part of a genuinely global business, and leveraging resources and scale to meet local needs
Key Requirements:
- Qualified, or pursuing relevant qualifications (CFA, CIMA, CAIA)
- Interest in a career in client-facing consulting
- Passionate about investment markets
- Interested in generating data-driven insights
- Inclusive, collaborative team members
- Strong communicators
- Comfortable with analysis, modelling and research across the investment consulting spectrum
